Slick iz a Functional Relational Mapping library for working with relational databases in a way similar to working with Scala collections. This paper explains (and shows examples) how to get started with Slick (generate a model from existing database schema or manually write model classes) and how Slick works compared to other database frameworks (JDBC, JPA).

Senji Ivan

Ivan Senji, author

Ivan Senji graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb in 2006. After graduation, he was employed at IN2 and later Asseco SEE working with various Java technologies. He currently works as a Senior Java developer at the firm Podsjetnik.
